Frank Haney III has taken a special interest in music since he was a small child. After enduring frustrating experiences on multiple instruments, he felt at home after becoming introduced to the drums in the mid-90s. After having many life-altering concert experiences involving top bands such as The Who, Haney decided to take his love of the drums to a professional level. He enrolled in an intense training regimen at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
He has taught drumset lessons in the McHenry area since 2001 and is dedicated and passionate about providing students with education that is both technical and inspirational. Haney stresses the importance of reading, rudiments, and coordination and believes that everyone can be successful at drums with determination, practice, and the proper learning tools.
Haney boasts a tremendous amount of patience and respect for others and brings a human approach to his teaching that he feels is sorely lacking in music education. Haney's black belt in the Korean martial art, Dahn MuDo and numerous awards for athletics and triathlons are evidence of his work ethic.
